Overseeing projects valued up to £14.5 million, I learned that success is never an accident—it is the result of strict programming, risk mitigation, and a zero-tolerance policy for procedural error. Whether you are pouring a foundation or inoculating a culture, the principles of professional management remain the same.
The Epiphany In 2018, my wife and I stepped away from the commercial world to build something of our own. We relocated to the Northern Thailand foothills, established a Longan farm with apiary, and immersed ourselves in the local cottage industries. We didn't study mycology in a sterile western university; we studied it under the Thai masters—mycologists funded by government research to empower rural farmers with low-Capex, high-yield techniques. This was challenging in an alien language but the science bled through and we were hooked.
The Angel Cottage Philosophy Angel Cottage Industries is the bridge between these two worlds. We have taken the "Sovereign" techniques of the Thai highlands—using fire, spirit bottles, and familiarity over expensive machinery—and refined them through the lens of a professional PM.

Forged in the 'Pit'
Our methodology was born out of necessity. In 2018, we established our first mushroom operation in the subtropical heat of Thailand. We didn't have access to climate-controlled clean rooms or expensive western lab equipment. Instead, we studied under Thai masters—mycologists who developed high-yield techniques for rural farmers over decades of research.
We learned to wrangle vipers in our fruiting pits, and how to achieve 99% sterile success rates using little more than a pressure cooker and a spirit flame. This "Scar Tissue" knowledge is what we bring to you to give you the best possible begriming.
